Dear Martial Arts Students and Parents!

 

It’s time to get ready for our annual demonstration at the DEL MAR FAIR!  We will perform some of the Martial Arts movements we have learned over the last 6 weeks.  There may be as many as 10 to 20 students on stage at a time.

 

WHEN & WHERE:  Saturday, June 21st  Check in with your Instructor at the Stage at least 15 minutes prior to show time (at 5:15!!!) to review movements to be done on stage. Our demonstration show time starts at 5:30 and goes till 6:00 p.m. at the Ralphs Infield Stage. Don’t be late, you may not have a chance to perform! Parking will take some time - also, it will take approximately 15 minutes to walk to the Infield Stage!  When you get to the stage, look for your Instructors name on signs being held up by parent volunteers… and line up by your grade (Grade level will also be on the sign).  Parents please note: Once the performance has started, BOTH the adult chaperone and child must remain for the entire duration of the show (until 6:00)!

 

DIRECTIONS TO THE FAIR:  Take 5 - N to Del Mar, exit Via de la Valle, stay on Via de la Valle, one block past Jimmy Durante Drive.  Make Left into Solana Gate entrance (Look for big sign).  Keep parking pass visible. Check in at the Special Events Trailer.

 

GETTING YOUR PASS:  Upon returning the attached permission slip, each of you will be issued a confirmation card, parking pass, and a flyer for our PREPARATION LESSON.  The confirmation card entitles one Martial Arts student and one adult chaperone to complimentary admission.  All other members of your party must have tickets to enter the fairgrounds.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the Special Events Trailer.  The Parking Pass is for the Green Lot ONLY!  AND the Preparation lesson is on Saturday, June 14th 3:30 to 4:00 at the Allied Gardens Community Park (see flyer for info).

 

WHAT TO WEAR: Dress will be your Martial Arts Uniform.  Or you may wear Martial Arts T-shirt with light colored sweats.  Your instructor will have uniforms and shirts for sale at your school up to the last class.   Call (619) 582-1897 to pre-order.

 

IF THE LAST CLASS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED: call (619) 582-1800 to receive further instructions on how to pick up your free passes to the fair.    Keep the top half for information.  YOU WILL NOT BE ISSUED A PASS INTO THE FAIR WITHOUT RETURNING THIS PERMISSION SLIP!!!!!!!    After calling an Instructor, you may set up a time to pick up free passes.  Take bottom ˝ to your Martial Arts Instructor to:  5154 Waring Rd.  San Diego, CA 92120

PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE TO THE FAIRGROUNDS EARLY.  YOUR PARKING PASS ENTITLES YOU TO ENTRANCE INTO THE SPECIAL EVENTS PARKING LOT, BUT IT WILL FILL UP!!!
